Permission is requested from the membership to go ahead and instruct Lymington Technical Services to proceed on our behalf as follows:-

• Followed by an application for the required permissions and licences.

Approval is requested in respect of the estimated cost, including professional fees, application fees and licences, of £5,500.00 (See note 2 below).

Yours sincerely

Iris Davis

On behalf of the Management Committee.

Note 1 – The aim of introducing an “Under the Bridge” membership is to encourage the use of this area of the Club waters. We need to consider:-
• There is a cost to the Club for unused moorings
• The Club could be challenged for not using an allocated area
• The Committee believe that it would be detrimental to the Club if we lost control over this area.

Note 2 – Putting forward a planning application:-
• Will meet the Club’s likely requirements over the next 10 years
• This is the most cost effective way to manage our planning.
• Plans will include essential works, retrospective planning and
• Developments that will enhance our Club facilities.

PARKING;
parking will be allowed and will be restricted to South East side of Weevil Lane on the basis that cars are clear of bends and openings and not causing an obstruction. Parking is also available in North Meadow C permit Zone ( Blue signs clearly mark this zone) and Cooperage Green.

Cars parked on Weevil Lane and North Meadow C permit zone and Cooperage Green will be required to Clearly display their GCC parking permit in the windscreen (MUST have their contact mobile number Clearly marked on permit) Only by displaying this permit will it prevent vehicles receiving a large penalty notice charge. The usual grass area in front of the Gosport Cruising Club wall WILL NOT be available as the developer that owns it has turned it into a works compound. There is no parking on the grassed area alongside the Berkeley Homes wall or the disabled bays. Remember, the whole site is policed by a private contractor who extracts heavy fines from those not complying with the parking regulations.

An area of concern relates to our relations with local residents. If confronted by an angry resident, tell them politely that we have the permission of the landlord, Berkeley Homes (Southern) Ltd. GCC members and/or their guests should not give residents cause to complain about them obstructing the free movement of traffic along Weevil Lane."
Please study the photos showing the highlighted green areas
We are also hoping to have a member acting as a parking attendant so that we can box park to achieve maximum parking. IF YOUR NOT SURE ASK DON'T PARK
